Marie, The 7 uses a slightly different phone case than the 6S, since the camera on the 7 is a little bigger. You can use your 6S case on the 7, but part of the camera may be blocked. If you take a lot of pictures or use the camera for the KNFB Reader or other OCR/recognition apps, then this may be a factor. Also, there's a lightning port on the 7 and not a headphone jack like was on the 6S. One thing to consider: if you are or think you will be interested in getting the new phone later this year, depending on your carrier, you may not be able to upgrade to the 7 now and the newer phone in September. I have missed some alert sounds on my 7 or have had times when the default tri-tone is used instead of an app's alert sound. This is not a big deal for me though since I still get the notification regardless of the sound used.
