Largely it depends on how unlimitted your unlimitted cell plan is. The thing these days is to tell you it's unlimitted, but once you've past a certain point, to throttle your connection down a few knotches. You're still not being charged for the overage, but you're not using your full connection either. Plus, in many cases cellular data is still slower than DSL or cable net in the first place. Me personally, if I have the option of using wifi, I'll use wifi. It's just generally less of a pain overall.
