Rob, here’s a pertinent update:

I too was told by the Qardio Support person, both through email and a phone
call; the reset hole was around that indented area on the side of the battery
cap, wedged behind the cuff itself.

I must of tried to find this little hole for a paper clip to be inserted into,
for the past 2 days! It was like a blind Chinese Water Torture Test! Aaargh,
and som inna batch indeed!

So today I went up to my local Walgreens and ask for the Pharmacist to help me
in locating this stupid little reset hole. I repeated the exact verbiage from
the Qardio Support Person, and the same words from all of the YouTube videos I
listened to; on where this hole is.

He followed my exact instructions word for word, and nothing, and no hole! Then
he just so happened to ask me: “Hey Mike, what about this little hole on the
top of the battery cap?”. I was like “Well Som ina batch and, and screw me too,
and (Well you can fill in the blanks).

So here’s the real dealio:

1. With the unit completely rolled up and the flap magnetically secured
with the battery cap facing upward; That little indentation to open the battery
cap should be up and facing away from you.

2. The reset hole will be in the left corner closest to you.

Anyway, I know this stuff ain’t too easy to put into typed words. So I’ve got
my cell number posted at the bottom of this email, just give me a call and I’ll
give you the verbal scoop.

BTW: I did let Qardio Support know of their error, and suggested they have one
of their support people put on a blindfold and grab and IPhone in Voice Over
and the Qardio app installed, and try to set the unit up properly and perform a
BP test. I’ll let you know what they say.

Bear with me. This may be a little complicated to describe.

First, here is the statement from the manual.

RESETTING THE PAIRING ON iOS

In order to reset the pairing, unwrap the cuff from around the QardioArm to
switch on the device and use a paper clip to press the button on the pinhole

on the battery compartment hatch.

If necessary, go into the Settings of your phone or tablet, select the
QardioArm and select “Forget this device”.

You should see a green light shining through.

First, I will describe how to find the battery compartment hatch.

Slightly lift the cuff from the QardioArm device on the end that does not have
the engraved QardioArm logo.

Insert and move your finger around between the cuff and the device.

The indented rectangle is the battery compartment hatch. Press it with your
fingernail if you want to open the compartment to replace the batteries. But
you do not need to open the compartment to reset the device.

There is a small round hole on each side of the battery compartment hatch.

One of these 2 holes should be the hole you insert a paper clip to reset the
device. Since I don't want to reset my device, I did not actually insert a
paper clip into either hole.

Hope this works for you.

Rob

Hi Robin all. I did purchase my cardio arm from Amazon and I now have it. I've
got everything screwed up, and I need to find the reset hole. I guess it is
somewhere within the battery, according to their support team. Does anybody
know how I can locate those tiny hole in which you shove a paperclip into? Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here are just a few bullet points from the www.getqardio.com web site:

QardioArm integrates with Apple Health and supports Apple Watch.

You can connect it to 8 smart phones and tablets including both iOS and Android
devices.

I did a podcast on www.applevis.com a couple of years ago. There you can find
the app description and podcast.

Hi Caitlyn,

This thread is perfect timing. Is set up accessible? This being an arm cuff,
is it possible to take your own blood pressure? Currently, we have the wrist
model. Can multiple people use the device, and does it connect up to health
kit on the iPhones?

Thank you, I am looking to update our blood pressure monitor.

Sure do.

It’s called the qardio blood pressure moniter. Note the spelling of “qardio”,
it’s with a q a, not the usual spelling.

Anyway, this is a cuff that you put on your arm, and it connects via bluetooth
to your i phone. There is an app for it, and this is where you control the
cuff and get the results from each measurement.

FyI, they also have a body weight scale, and it also measures body fat
percentage. This also connects to the phone via bluetooth. The app makes
these devices fully accessible. We own both of them here, and love both!

You can find them on amazon.

HTH,

Caitlyn

I have heard that there is a device that can be used to measure and track your
