I haven’t used it in a while as my screen stopped working, so I could not ask
for any kind of visual help with anything. Tried finding somewhere to repair
the screen, but that was a no go, no one had the parts to fix it. It was an
older version of Android and it would not update to a newer version. I think
the tablet that I was using was Android 5.1, but I am not sure as it is totally
dead now. I am sure they have improved it since then, but it was so frustrating
that I just will stick to using my IOS device.

Hello, add a curiosity, when is the last time you tried android? What version
of android was it, what version to talk back, and how long did you keep the
android device?

Sincerely,

Michael Maslo

I have used both and prefer IOS to android. Yes, they are more expensive, but
so much easier to use. I loathe Talk Back, it is more frustrating for me. I
tried using an Android tablet and an Android phone and hated both of them. It
is IOS all the way for me.

IOS is definitely more accessible than Android, from wha I have
  read.

I like the blindness apps that are available for IOS. BeSpecular
and Be My Eyes are a couple examples. Money Reader is another
example. It is really easy to use a Braille display with IOS.
Just go into VoiceOver Settings, Braille then pair it. One thing
that really annoys me about Android is that from what I
understand, each phone is laid out differently because each
manufacturer puts its junk on. An iPhone is an iPhone. Once you
learn one, you can use any iPhone that you have your hands on.
Usually, when I get a new iPhone, I am able to get it set up
within an hour or less then go on about my business. What really
annoys me about Android is that not every phone gets updates.
That means that if I am one of the unlucky people who has a phone
that won't get Android O, I just have to read on mailing lists
about the kool features while I'm stuck on the earlier version.

Hey guys. So, yeah yeah flack time…. I currently have a
blackberry PRIV running android 6.0.1, love the phone yes! But
here is my question. I just got myself a brand new shiny fast
sleek MBP and the question of android or IOS is popping into my
head. I have a good while before I can afford to afford to get a
new device, but I want some input here. Other than the
continuity features, please tell me what is so great about IOS
today. Please don’t tell me that its got the best
accessibility, because that is a fallacy since google is equal,
but features, useful new tools, etc just something that would
actually sway me more to looking seriously at IOS again.
  thanks
  Doug.
