Problem solved. Maybe the phone was just ridiculously slow given that it's an
old antique as it is. All the things I wanted to download are downloaded so not
sure what the problem was earlier. So yes of course you can download apps using
Wi-Fi only on the phone that has no other service. Hey people,
I am having trouble with my iPhone 6. It wouldn't turn on this morning. At
the local Verizon store they told me it was charging but it wouldn't turn back
on. They decided that the plug-in was defective and then a little over two
years was a good run for a phone. Really? I have heard the phone making some
crackling and short-circuiting kind of noises, in the last few months so maybe
it was ready to blow. If I had had the time at that very moment, I might well
have bought a new phone, but I didn't have the time so I left thinking I might
do it later in the day or call Verizon and see if I get a better deal. When I
got home I wiggled the place where the cord plugs into the phone and it came on
and it's been working since.
I pulled out an old AT&T for S which still works. Via Bluetooth all the
contacts transferred mail I got the mail set up again, So that was helpful. I
was getting messages all that I could send mail I could not reply to text
messages and obviously I could not receive phone calls.
I had deleted a bunch of apps off the old phone because I was going to give it
away for someone to use the camera, so I'm missing Bard and my learning Ally.
I went to the App Store to download them via Wi-Fi on the old four s and it
does not appear to be able to download. Does that require a paid service?
Somehow I don't remember this being the case. Or is there something else going
on?
