After you tap the Delete button at the top (one swipe to the left of the Refresh button) the individual delete buttons for each book are along the left edge of the screen in front of each book. If you swipe, however, you first come to the book title, then the menu button which in delete mode does nothing and then the delete button for the book that was last announced. It’s sort of backwards compared to how it is presented visually.
