Hi. I’m guessing that will not work, since the only purpose for the lightning 
port on the keyboard is to charge it. Yes, when you plug it into a Mac for the 
first time, it uses the USB cable to pair it via Bluetooth so you don’t have to 
do it manually, but other than that it serves no purpose. I’m not sure if that 
would function way you would like it to an iOS.
