His post was for walking directions, not for driving. I've tried it with driving, with amazing results, every time.

It did announce the turn early, but I figure that it is anticipating faster movement. With that being said, I agree, this app is a battery eater. I wish Human ware would develop a Trekker app for the iPhone. I had the PDA version years ago and it was so superior to any of the currently available GPS apps.
