Hi,

Make sure the iPhone 6 is on when you do the upgrade, and the code will come to
it. There's also a feature in iOS 11 to import settings from your previous
phone. I'm not sure whether that takes care of two-factor authorization, but it
might.

Before you give the phone away, sign out of iCloud, go to general, choose
Settings, then choose Erase All content and Settings. The person you give it to
can then set it up and add it to their own account. Don't worry about deleting
messages, etc.; that will be done by the reset command.

I hope that helps.

Best,
Anna
