I absolutely agree, Sieghard. There is no consistency in whether or
not the roter changes from delete to activate which means a lot of
extra swiping to check the setting before tapping. I have already
inadvertently deleted several messages because I anticipated one
action and got another.

I'll be emailing apple as well.
