I don't understand what this means. My notifications have never spoken automatically on the lock screen; my phone will just vibrate or make a tone. If the phone is not in my pocket the lock screen will display, but if I have the phone in my pocket I will get a tone without the lock screen even coming up (Apple tells me this is designed.) So I'm not seeing any change with the new update.
