I highly doubt that at this point you can still go back to iOS 10, Apple does sign the previous iOS usually for a couple of weeks after the new iOS version is released, but then that is it. Since iOS 11 came out I think on September 19 I think you could have downgraded until maybe last week, but probably no more and in any case, I don’t know what the big deal is, I can still check notifications on the lock screen although I should mention that I am running the iOS 11.1 public beta where a few improvements have been made. This should be available as a regular update probably in 2 or 3 weeks.

In earlier versions, the alert would read without you having to touch the phone. Under the current version I have to either swipe the screen to read the message, or lock and unlock the screen to get it to speak. when it speaks it speaks everything. I am assuming that this is just a flaw in the locked screen. There are some other functions that do not work correctly in locked screen mode. I also notice that when I am in an application that notifications disappear before I can check them. Perhaps this is part of the same problem. I am awaiting resolution of this problem. If none is forthcomming, maybe they can show us how to go back to IOS 10. Apple is giving users the ability to read notifications only after the user's ID is known by the phone. So, your fingehprin opens the locked screen and it will show either the whole notification or only the place it comes from. Maybe this is the reason the notifications are no longer read. Not good in my opinion, but I took off the open screen by resting finger off, and now I can look at them without automatically going to the main home screen. Hope they will reinstate reading with VO in the future. Reggie and Lex -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
