If you are getting that message it should indicate that your premium voice

Subject: Re: VO in iOS six question

I don't want to change all those settings. It hasn't been necessary before
and I don't want to do it now.
What does it mean by "turn compact voice off?"
It doesn't seem to have anything about HQ yet, does this mean it hasn't
downloaded yet?

Settings/General/International, double-tapping Region Format, and then
double-tapping the region you want. This will change date format and
possibly some other settings, but it will also change the default voice.
This works in iOS 5 as well.

was never a way to change the default language before, but it would let you
stick with another language and it would retain it. What is different now?
I'm not that sure that moving it to the top of the list would help, though
I'll try it. Is there any other way to tell the phone I want Samantha? I
don't think I can unselect British English as a default, so at the moment I
have both selected and I change it in the rotor itself, although when I
double tap on it in the settings, it doesn't make any difference, I have to
change it using the rotor action.

to put that one at the top of the list? That wasn't necessary before, but
perhaps it is now.
