Hi Carla, Try double-tapping your name at the top of Settings, choosing Accounts, choosing Add, and adding your Gmail account. You may get a note from Gmail saying you'll need to relax your security settings to allow your phone to access your mail in this way; if so, follow the instructions. I have a Gmail account and can access it on my phone, so I think this will work.
