Yes, Face Id is easy to set up, I went to an Apple Store on Friday and played around for 10 minutes with their iPhone X demo. It is somewhat limited since I couldn't actually set up Face Id and save it and then lock the phone and unlock it, but it has a Face Id demo app which allows you to go through the process of setting it up by rotating your head around the clockface the way Kliphton described. The small size is nice having a Plus model right now. Initially I had a bit of a problem with the swipe up gesture which replaces pressing the home button, I just couldn't get it until I realized I waited too long from when I put my finger on the very bottom of the screen until I swiped up. You have to do it almost in a single motion and once I realized this it worked 100% of the time and it's just as fast as pressing the home button. It's a gorgeous phone, but I don't have $1,500 Canadian to spend this year so I wait maybe for Face Id version 2 and until all iPhones have OLED screens.
