If you have a PC, my favorite way to use Kindle books is to install a little program called Codex on your PC, and convert the Kindle book to an ePub and read it in VoiceDream Reader. The Kindle app is quite accessible on the iPhone, but it is more clunky to use for searches and such to me than Voice Dream. There are lots of caveats that I hope I included on my web site under Useful Apps.
