Hello, I have recently moved our tv subscription from DirecT over to Dish. This was done for many reasons but the main reason was with Dish we have a much lower monthly bill and the price is locked in for 2 years.
I am so far very disappointed in the Dish Anywhere app which is the app that Dish subscribers use for accessing their dvr recordings and for viewing the TV guide. The main thing that I would like to be able to do with this app is to bring up the guide and see what is currently on. I would also like to use the guide in the app to learn the location of the channels that we watch. The trouble is that when in the app with the guide tab selected Dish Anywhere will only show the number of the channel and not the name of the network. To get this information you must double tap on the channel number and then that channel will begin to play. I would like to know if anyone else on the list uses Dish and if so, have you had any success using the Dish Anywhere app. If not, does anyone on the list have any suggestions as to an accessible app for viewing tv listings on Dish?
