Hi Sieghard, You can also turn on the raise to wake feature then all you have to do is raise your iPhone up and rest your finger on the home button and it will open. That way you do not have to push any buttons to open your iPhone.

At the very bottom is a button called “Rest Finger to Open”, make sure this is set to “On”. It’s actually one item up from the bottom, the very last thing is the explanation for it: Open iPhone with Touch Id, without having to press the home button. Of course you still have to wake up the iPhone first by either pressing the home button or the power/sleep button on the side. If you turn this on you can usually just press the home button and after you let go just keep your finger on it for a moment and it will unlock. Glad re-entering your fingerprint fixed the problem, still a good idea though to make sure the home button (and the screen) are nice and clean, all sorts of weird things can happen if they get too dirty. It’s Regards, Sieghard From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Tom Rash Sent: Friday, December 15, 2017 5:05 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Fing print problem solved Well, I deleted my finger print and redid it and it works fine now. Don’t know what was going on. Someone on the list mentioned to be sure and set it up so you can just put your finger on the home button rather than actually pushing it. If that is possible, where do you set that up at? I didn’t see it in the finger print section of settings, although I think my phone was doing that before this mess started.
