After I updated my iphone 6 to 11 and above, I decided not to buy iphone again.
50 dollars may seem pitttence to some, for others they may be the difference
between 1 week’s grocery or going hungry. There was a time I would borrow money
to be able to use Iphone as other platforms were not as efficient or as
accessible. But no more so.
As about Apple’s policy on updates, they can always warn customers not to try
updates unless they are ready to change battery. Or the regular disclaimer can
include a warning like theis upgrade may slow down old phones.
In the absence of this, I am all for suing Apple for their corporate greed and
dishonesty that seems to be creeping in exponentially of late.
Very sad as I never thought I would say such a thing about apple.
But the disloyalty started with Apple, so there goes the trust and a buyer.
By the way, I am happy with my iphone 4. I did not update it to the last
possible update. If need be, I can continue using it for my basic phone needs.
I am not too sure about iphone 6 though. I am already losing range on wifi and
bluetooth connection on one of my iphone 6 phones. Earlier I could find all the
wifi connnections in my neighborhood but now, my own wifi is not available if I
move to certain distance within my house. Same about bluetooth. Connection
available only in 5 6 feet range.
Not such a problem with my old iphone 4 though.
