you might have to download and setup with ggoogle home in order to get the chrome cast device to interface wit the youtube tv app. I had to do this on my iPhone, and after that was done, signing in on the youtube tv app was simple and worked. I can't say the same for the chrome app on my windows machine. It will allow me to sign in, but the interface presented is not very accessible (none of the buttons appear to work properly).
