I redownloaded this new version. I double tapped on Live Text mode and it will not switch from off to on. Double tapping on read document also had no impact. I tried the general recognition tab and double tapped on scene description. After a very long time it decided that my laptop might be a lamp sitting on a desk. I deleted the app, and reinstalled it, just in case there was an issue the first time. No change in my results. This is with an iPhone 6S.
I’ll stick with Seeing AI, which simply works, especially with the Short Text mode, but all of its other channels work well too. Richard . Under text recognition, you would find the live text and document text mode, under general recognition you would find the scene description and training mode.
