I have a friend who would like to purchase a Focus 40 Braille note taker but the cost is ridiculously prohibitive. I’m posting to this list to ask if anyone can offer a configuration where the iPhone - using a Braille display — might not offer the same functionality?
Specifically, are there apps that can read the contents of a note or some other iOS document and present it converted into Braille via a display. I must admit, I am Braille illiterate as I lost my sight at age 41 and haven’t been able to acclimate to Braille. I suspect that my fingertips were burned badly enough handling heated engine components when I could see that I haven’t the sensibility in my fingers. So, when it comes to Braille I’m indeed quite ignorant! ************ - Bill from Ino, Wisconsin - "Arguing with a woman is like reading a software license agreement.” - "In the end you have to ignore everything, & click I Agree." - Contributor Unknown, But I’ll bet at least 50% of us go along with this sentiment! -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
