A quick follow up question. When you look up a price and they are running a special is the quoted price the after discount price? I just looked up the rate for both Uber and Lyft to my local commuter rail station and Lyft was literally almost 2.00 more but if this is the post discount price. Lyft will not be considered for my upcoming trips. The fares do fluctuate a little between peak and non-peak times. My experience has been the fluctuation is related to the time of day you are traveling as opposed to giving riders a promotion, then raising the prices. First question is that Lyft often do discounts do you notice that a particular fare that is normally a certain price suddenly goes up during those promotions? Second do you find that either one of these tends to be cheaper than the other or do you find them pretty much par. I have a need to use ride share for approximately a week while my wife is in Europe and I rarely use ride share so just pondering my options as Lyft is about to have a discount starting on the first of the month which just happens to be when I need use of ride share.
