It sounds like your family members need to spend time learning iOS. It
is icon driven and if they cannot recognize commonly used icons, it
would be difficult to teach them enough to cover their knowledge gaps.
Also, they just need to use the app more. Spotify designed the app to
Appleā€™s guidelines, which emphasize interface learning through end
user discovery.
