Hi Kelly, I also have a Honeywell Lyric T5 thermostat and was a bit worried about this update. When I got the email last week I actually sent a message to them via the website asking whether accessibility in this big update was being considered. I had not received a reply and for me the update hasn’t shown up yet, but I am glad to hear it’s better rather than worse. I found changing temperature was still relatively easy, you just had to double tap and hold and then drag right to left to increase and left to right to decrease the currently set temperature, a bit counter-intuitive since when I first tried this I dragged left to right assuming this would increase the temperature. Anyways, more easily done with SIRI or with Alexa after I was finally able to link the skill to my account which for a while wasn’t working. I look forward gto the update.

A couple months ago the app went from usable but tough to almost unusable with all kinds of poorly named controls and more in my opinion. This was version 3.9.1 of the app. Honeywell just released another big update to this app of version 4.0 and renamed it to Honeywell Home. The accessibility problems that were introduced have been corrected. Additionally, items such as making a quick adjustment to the temperature, that were in the tough category have now been improved also. The app can be used to control a range of Honeywell devices, not just thermostats.
