That's interesting what the search brought up. I'll have to look into it. We
haven't call the time number very often since we have siri and other phones
that have clocks in them and talking clocks, and our computers to find out the
time and so on. But it's been a long time number here. I guess Wayne's known
this number forever. I'll have to ask him how far back it goes, but he moved
heare in 1957 when he was 6. Actually he just told me in the 1960's was when he
knew of the first time number that only told the time. Then he thinks it was
sometime in the 80's, it was at least over 30 years ago when the time number
had changed, to the 405-599-1234, and besides telling the time it told the
temperature as well. That person you found that owned the number probably had a
business relation ship with ou hospital with their advertising on on the time
number. Okay, that's it about this number, I'm really getting off topic now,
but thanks for this information, I'll look in to this site, and we're so happy
it's all straightened out and fixed. Now we could move on to the unlocking of
the phones, with the excellent instructions from Cris. Thanks again.

  Arlene,

I did a google search on that number and it shows up as belonging to
Christopher Downham LLC. In Oklahoma City.

There is a world clock web site for time and date and more for each city. It
gives a live feed, so the time changes live on the web. Here is the link for
Oklahoma City:

  https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/oklahoma-city

Though, Siri should be able to tell you the time as well.

Richard, that might be it. We'll try these steps in a little while, and I'll
write back and let you know whether it fixed it. It's kind of funny, but yes
it's a long time number for this area of oklahoma city, it's the oklahoma city
time and temperature phone number, the phone number is 405-599-1234, and the
commercials on the time and temperature were from o u hospital, oklahoma
university hospital. I say it's funny because, it seemed so strange that the
phone number would be caugh up in the icon name. When we called the number last
night we found it was no longer. The disconecting of this number had to be done
yesterday, because it seems as if we called it a few days ago, and it was still
on. It's strange for about the last week or so we noticed whenever we called
the time was off about 10 or 12 minutes. Oh well it's gone now this old time
and temperature phone number. Thank you, and I'll write back and let you know
if it fixed it.

I'll write back soon.

    Arleen,

First, is that a number you recognize as one you may have called at some
point?

If so, I think I know wha may have happened.

If you do a two finger double tap and hold, you can rename any icon. I've
had clients accidentally get into that mode and change an icon's name.

If that is what has occurred, you can reverse it by doing a two-finger
double tap and hold on the phone app. An edit box will open, which I suspect
says, phone 405 etc. Just tap on the delete button until all that is left is
the word phone.

Then, find the save button or done, I cannot remember this early which it
is, and do a single finger double tap, and it should now only say phone.

If that isn't it, call Apple accessibility and have them do a screen share
so they can see your screen and figure out what is going on.

    877-204-3930.

    HTH,

    Richard

Have you turned the phone off and then back on to see if that fixes the

Somehow on one of our phones, on the phone icon, it doesn't just say
phone, it says

        phone 4055991234

Is there some way we can get the phone number out. It's strange, we
have no idea how it got in there with the phone icon label. that phone number
was the local time number where, which we found tonight no longer works. Thank
you if you can tell us what to do.
