I use both to have a record of my passwords. iOS KeyChain remembers the password so I don't have to write it in on the iPhone, but if I then access a sign-in on another computer then I can look up the log-in information from 1Password. Yes, I could use iOS KeyChain for everything. I've been in situations though where I needed to sign-in to an account on a Windows machine and could not recall my password.
