Thanks for that confirmation.  I am not sure what else I can try apart from as 
you suggest take the watch to an Apple Store.

Not sure where the nearest store is from where I live but something to consider.

I updated to Watch OS 5 on my Series 2 watch, this morning and cannot reproduce 
your experience.  

Siri is functioning as expected.  

Accept for my Fit Port pedometer not working with either iOS 12 or Watch OS 5, 
everything with the device is as it should be.

Perhaps you could take your watch to an Apple store?

Hello,

Following my earlier post about Siri not working on my Apple Watch I have tried 
a number of things but the problem persists.

The Apple Watch Series2 is running Watch OS5.

To start with I was using it with my iPhone7 running IOS12.

Pressing and holding the Digital Croun resulted with a message of either “Hang 
on” or “Hold on”  to appear on the screen.  This would eventually time out 
returning me to the watch face.  This occurred whether I was connected via the 
iPhone or WI-FI.

I tried resetting the watch and setting it up as a new device but the problem 
persisted.

I then used an old iPhone5S running IOS 11 with the same results.

Updating the 5S to IOS12 no change.

The strange thing is that if I wake the watch up and say “Hey Siri” I get a 
response.

If I press and hold the Digital Croun, no matter what device the watch is pared 
to or the version of IOS in use it simply hangs.

Any suggestions welcome.
