Hi List,

I have historically used Outlook on my Windows 7 computer to maintain my
contacts and calendars and to sync them to my iPhone using iTunes. Even
though I have downloaded iCloud to my computer, I never run it because of
issues I seem to remember about accessibility. I keep hearing more about how
iCloud is doing more in the backup realm so I scrolled through my iCloud
settings on my iPhone 8 to check what is turned on or not. I have just about
everything turned on except for Contacts and Calendars because I'm nervous
about causing any duplication with these.

Can someone who has used iTunes to sync contacts and calendars between an
iDevice and their computer and is now using iCloud comment on whether there
is a downside to my turning contacts and calendars on under iCloud on my
iPhone?

I am using an iPhone 8 running iOS 11.4.1.

Thanks in advance for your help.
