Thanks for all the advice. I finally called apple care and got some help. They suggested I try another finger, so I tried the only one I hadn’t tried before. Wouldn’t you know, it worked. It was the index finger of my right hand which is my Braille reading finger, so I assumed it wouldn’t work because there might be a callous. It worked. The support person said that if that didn’t work we could re-set the phone. I’m glad I didn’t have to do that. All is well.
Guess it’s like taking a sick child to the doctor only to find out the youngster has suddenly gotten well! SMILE! God bless!
