Hi List,

Ron is right, people are never happy with what they get. The author of that
article made a huge deal out of the fact that iOS 6 is not as revolutionary
as the original iOS was and that other companies are catching up to Apple.
My answer to this would be that of course this is the case, it would be
completely dum to expect that every year Apple is releasing an iPhone along
with a new version of iOS that completely revolutionizes the mobile phone
market which of course is not possible. And other companies like Google with
Android and even Windows with Windows Phone 7 and soon 8 will of course
narrow the gap as they at first imitate what Apple has done and then come up
with their own inovations which to some degree Apple may also imitate. This
is not new technology any more, it's come a very long way since Apple did
revolutionize that market, but now the technology, the devices and the
platforms evolve and Google isn't stunning the world either with their
newest Android snack. We all know Apple will not open up iOS to the same
extend that Android is open for customizations and tweeks, if you want that
you can Jailbreak and do what you like. I prefer the stability and the for
the most part highly consistant user experience even though with their Maps
app Apple has disappointed a lot of people, but they'll fix it soon enough,
at least it's not like they don't have the money to sink into it.

Regards,

Sieghard
