I have had lazarillo for about 2 years now, and have never been charged for

I think Lazario is only free for a time, then it is a subscription unless
something has changed big time.
I personally use Google Maps or MapQuest. Sometimes Blind Square.
I never found Microsoft soundscape all that useful.

Lazarillo has improved a lot: it is free and can add and track
destinations but cannot get you turn by turn directions. Good for making
sure you get off the bus at the right stop!
