What's interesting is that the sale advertisement did not indicate one
way or the other which type of networking is required, and neither is it
stated on the box!

I don’t know if people were giving “bad information” as much as
perhaps people not keeping track of which one is which… I know I’ve
always refered to my bluetooth model as just that. I’ve never confused
it for or have called it the wifi model.
I guess folks could buy the wifi one and see if they can work around
the accessibility issues in the meantime until Instant Pot gets around
to putting out an app update. No guaranty that they will, but there
you go.
