Having the choice once Touch Id is available to work anywhere on the screen would be ideal. Simon, I'm sure Apple hasn't consulted blind horseback riders which I assume do not make up a large number of Apple's customers, but also remember that there are a lot of people who probably love Face Id because it works so much better for them than Touch Id. If I have a project going in my woodworking shop I can usually forget Touch Id for a week afterwards because I may have little scratches or cuts on my fingers along with maybe a bit of glue or wood finish which comes off gradually, but it's enough for Touch Id to not work. Think of all the thousands of sighted people who are manual workers, who need to wear gloves or simply all of us in the northern regions where you have to wear gloves because it's cold for a good part of the year. Here Face Id is much more convenient.
