Only way to do this is if you have a jailbroken phone which  comes with its own 
set of stuff that is not cool.
Cool in ways, uncool in others.

You totally should be able to adjust the eq. It's one of the things I really 
hate about the IPhone not being able to change that with out having to using 
apple's presets.
