I have direct tv now and as you say the guide doesn't read good at all. I kind of get around this by going to networks and choosing a channel and selecting on now. Otherwise I just go underwatch now and see whats on channels I've watched recently. I recently got a fire tv and find the guid and everything works much better than on apple tv.
