I would like some clarification..It is my understanding that the Freestyle 
Libre scanner/reader is needed. The scanner reads the blood glucose level from 
the sensor & the result is transmitted to the iPhone app via bluetooth. 
Hopefully, someone who uses the Freestyle Libre will chime in.
