Thanks, Bill, I wanted to set up my own watch list, just haven't been brave
enough to tackle it.

Hi, Fred, not that I have that kind of money to invest to follow it closely,
but it’s interesting to check what’s going on once in a while.

The first thing you come to when swiping right is the date, and then next is
the search field which you would double tap like any other such edit field
using VoiceOver. I haven’t tried it but presumably you can enter a company
name or ticker symbol and get a quote. You then would come to the Dow Jones
Industrial average with the current value and amount of change either during
the current trading day or the completion of the last session, then likewise
for the S&P 500. You then come to stock quotes from slected companies. I am
not sure how they are selected, they change from day to day, possibly depending
on trading volume or news items, but Apple is always first, understandably.
These listings give the company name followed by the ticker symbol and then the
price and movement just like the DJIA and S&P. I notice A. T. & T. is
regularly in my list, possibly because that’s my carrier.

After this list, possibly a half dozen or so, you get the Dow Jones again and
can swipe to related stories from Apple News, which you can presumably double
tap on to read in more detail, then you come into the like set-up for the S&P.
The final element is manage watch list. I don’t know if you can create one
there or if you have the opportunity to add to the list when you do a search
for companies you are interested in.

I also don’t know if any of this works for getting information on commodities
or bonds or other types of investments. Keep in mind that if we are within a
trading session, you may find VoiceOver interrupting periodically as the
numbers are updated. You will remain on the element you were viewing however.

That’s my best stab at this just from looking around and playing a bit.
Anyone else who knows more is welcome to chime in.

Wonder if anyone has made use of the Stocks application, Can't figure out how
to make it work.
