I have access to both because of my job. But, I tend to use Google Maps and either Lazarillo or BlindSquare for myself since I don't want to spend the $79 for Nearby Explorer or the $299.99 for Seeing Eye XT GPS as an outright purchase, or the $129.99 for 3 years subscription, or the $69.99 per month ... I'm not sure if the 99ยข is part of those prices, but you get the idea.
If I was going to not have to consider cost, I'd probably go with Seeing Eye XT. I think the intersection descriptions are better in it. But, this is truly a case of everybody's needs are different so each person really needs to sort out what the features are they want in a GPS app and go with whichever one meets that need.
