Hi Allison, WhisperSync is what Audible calls their background cloud syncing operation, e.g. if you had 2 Kindles or a Kindle and an iPad with the Kindle app and were reading an eBook on one device and then switch to the other device, the book on the second device should open at the place where you left off on the first device. Basically what iCloud does between iOS devices. Since Amazon owns Audible, they are now advertising and pushing the idea that people should buy also the Audible version of a Kindle book they buy and if the book supports WhisperSync which is now stated on Audible, a person could read the eBook on a Kindle and then if they were to pick up their iPhone and start the Audible app with that book in it, the Audio Book would start playing where they stopped reading the Kindle book. Same of course should happen between Audio Books on multiple devices.

Hi Sieghard. I'll report back as soon as my iPad arrives. Is whisper sync an app? Thanks!
