Good news!!! I now have an on-screen keyboard again!!! Dropped by local
verizon store and the rep did the reset where you hold the power button and the
home button at the same time for a few seconds. I am embarrassed to admit it,
but I totally forgot about that reset method. I did power down and, after
finding no solution from the apple accessibility rep, I was ready to do the
rest from within the settings menu. Again, thank you all for all helpful
suggestions. I can’t believe the solution was so easy.

Go into Settings > General > Reset and do a reset network settings and see if
that fixes it.
Keep in mind that you will have to reconnect to WiFi after doing this. I think
Anna posted that if you turn off iCloud keychain before you do the reset
network settings and turn it on again afterwards your WiFi password will be
restored so you could try this.

Jumping in on this thread late so don’t know if this has been suggested, but
have you tried turning off Bluetooth completely? Turning on airplane mode to
kill all connections with other devices?

Quick Nav messages are only if an external keyboard is connected.
Did you by any chance connect the Polaris under the regular Bluetooth keyboard
as well as under braille?
Is the Polaris powered off?
Are you sure there are no bluetooth keyboards connected?
If you are getting Quick Nav messages and nothing is connected, then you either
have Grmlins or its time to call Apple Accessibility.

In the VoiceOver settings, go to Braille, and turn on "show onscreen
keyboard." Then, if you want, turn it off when you connect your braille sense.

on/connected they will cause the on-screen keyboard not to show.

I went to the search tab in the ap store. When I single finger double
tapped, I heard all the sound clues indicating that I could either type in my
search term or dictate it. Only issue is that I could not find the dictate
button or any letters or even the option to switch to numbers. I have searched
in this ap store many times, but never had this happen. How can I get the
keyboard and dictate button to show up again? Thanks for your help.
