I agree that some sites overuse headings. I just tried the below CNN link with
JAWS on my laptop and arrowing down line by line indicated that the first many
lines of the page are all various headings. I 'get the sense that the designer
used headings to automatically increase the font size of the trending topics at
the top of the page, rather than just having the Trending topics line be a
header and the items underneath being plan text. So, try your method with some
other sites. You might try going to a site you know is done well for
accessibility, such as a blindness organization or company, or doing a search
on Google and looking at the search results page, which is pretty well laid out
with headings.

Subject: IPhone, Voice-over and safari question

Hello,

While I have been an IPhone user for a number of years, I haven't ever
really spent any time in safari on my IPhone.

Now for work, I need to test the accessibility of some internal web
applications using the IPhone.

I have run into a problem...
After opening a website (you can use http://cnn.com as an example), I
set the rotor to headings and flick up/down to move between headings
just fine.
My understanding was that if I flick right, I would get to the text
below the currently selected heading, however, when I flick right, i
go to the next heading in the list.

What am I doing wrong, or did I miss something in how to use the rotor?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Donald
