if you change the device you are using, you will need to verify again.

  Subject: My Uber experience

Hello, I successfully used the Uber app last night to get home from the minor
league baseball game I attended.

I did not have to log in again after closing the app for a while in the
afternoon after updating my account. I think the reason I needed to be
verified earlier in the day is that I’ve had the app for three years and even
updated the account once, but hadn’t actually used it for a trip. In fact this
was the first I used it on my 8 Plus which I got a year ago.

The app picked up on my location correctly, and I ty0ped the home address
into the destination search without difficulty. Once this was done I got the
ETA and estimated fare once I selected Uberx.

I got the confirmation and the driver’s name and car model, didn’t catch the
license though I know the app gave that to me.

I chose to call the driver and did so after giving Uber permission to use the
microphone. I had to talk the driver to where I was as the information about
which gate I was near may have been incorrect but we got it worked out. The
driver and I had a good conversation and I discussed a lot of blindness issues
which he seemed genuinely interested in learning about. I got home and
successfully rated the driver and gave a tip. This turned out to be a good
experience and the cost was less than what I have paid in cab fare on that trip
in past years.

I was pleased everything I needed to use in the app was accessible enough to
use effectively.

Ironically it was the paratransit ride to the park where I had an issue. My
driver was apparently the third vehicle in a rear end collision chain, though
thankfully there were no injuries, but I had to speak to the police and the
substitute driver who was sent took a report from me as well. My radio went
flying and it had to be retrieved from the vehicle. I was surprised it still
worked, but it turned out I couldn’t use it to get the play by play, as the
games are no longer over the air but only on line. This meant I would have had
to subscribe to the minor league ball app and try to learn it on the fly, and I
wanted to save the phone for contacting Uber. So I had to infer what I could
about the action and pay attention to fan reaction and comments. So overall it
was still a good experience, though having to get the game call on line makes
it less likely I’ll go to a game myself now.
