I don’t often use the barcode channel, but all others and especially short text work great. I often use the short text channel on my computer screen if for some reason Jaws quits or if there is an update in progress where Jaws doesn’t yet speak, I have used it on my washing machine’s LCD screen and I use it all the time if I quickly want to read a document but don’t have the need to save the result.
