I am not sure if this is an error on iOS six or the iPhone five itself. However when in the calendar application voice over does not read which calendars are selected. The only way a person knows one of his calendars is selected to be displayed is if the events in that calendar are displayed. For example take a look at the phone application. If you have groups of contacts in the phone application voice over reads the name of each group and then the word selected after it to indicate which groups of contacts will be displayed. Voiceover does not read the word selected after a calendar name to show you which calendars of events will be displayed. Hope that makes sense.
