I am not sure if this is an error on iOS six or the iPhone five itself. However 
when in the calendar application voice over does not read which calendars are 
selected. The only way a person knows one of his calendars is selected to be 
displayed is if the events in that calendar are displayed. For example take a 
look at the phone application. If you have groups of contacts in the phone 
application voice over reads the name of each group and then the word  selected 
after it to indicate which groups of contacts will be displayed. Voiceover does 
not read the word selected after a calendar name to show you which calendars of 
events will be displayed. Hope that makes sense.
