I wonder where this information is hiding? When I purchased my ipad I looked there first. The only thing I found was an option where I could turn in my iPad mini for a discount that would have only taken $75 off the price.That would not have helped very much when my income is less than $800.

You should buy the latest model which was only released recently and unless there is something weird going on you won’t find it cheaper on Amazon than you would be able to buy it directly from Apple. If you buy it directly from Apple it will automatically be registered on your Apple Id and should anything go wrong I think it is much easier to deal with Apple about it.
