Is that the dating app? an iPod 6th generation should work just fine. It says it requires only iOS 11. It even says it work on the iPod; and when the app came out, I'm sure the iPod Touch 6th generation was the latest iPod available. So, my guess, as judgmental as it may be, he doesn't want to be bothered. I have no need of a dating app, so won't be downloading it. Best of luck with it. Richard
