If you set the phone to never in other words how long you want the screen to remain activated you won't have to enter it all of the time. There are various minute selections and then a "never" selection which is where mine is set. I think it is in the touch ID section.

Hi to all.  I found in settings the touch ID and passcode part.  I set
my phone to off when I saw the choice to not have to enter my passcode
when my phone starts up  For some reason, it doesn't seem to be
working.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  Thanks.  I can enter in
my passcode ok, but it would be nice not to have to enter it all the
time when turning on my phone.
