Hi Joshua,
Just to add to the good advice Jenn gave you. You do have a choice in which
keyboard you want to use. I have always used the standard keyboard since I
first got my iPhone, for the simple fact, the standard keyboard to me reminds
me of a keyboard on my PC. That is how I use the standard keyboard, as I
already know where the letters are, meaning if you touch the letter d, you will
know directly to the left of that letter is the letter s, and next to that is
the letter a, just like it is on a keyboard for a pc.

Josh,

Do you have touch typing enabled. That’s what I use when I type on my phone.
Touch typing is where you put your finger on the letter you want to type. So
say you want to type the letter j once you get to j when you here voice over
say j then lift your finger up and the j will be on what you are starting to
type for whatever word you are wanting such as the word just.
