I will give you the steps to change a voice, but if you have done all of these things, a call to Apple may be at hand. 1. Go to settings, general, accessibility, VoiceOver, speech. 2. Double tap on voices. 3. When you choose a voice, make sure it says how many megabytes it is using. Double tap on Samantha enhanced or just Samantha if that is what you want. That should change the voice for you permanently. If that isn’t sticking, you may have to give Apple Accessibility a call.
